The Chronicles

Salutations dear readers and fellow Laurentian neighbors,
This month, dearest readers, my chronicle is all about Mon Ami l'Ordi. Why I hear you ask? Because, at the end of December, Mon Ami l'Ordi will turn 5! FIVE!!! I must admit I cannot believe that this wonderful adventure has already lasted five whole years. And it's all thanks to YOU ... and YOU ... and YOU ...
Firstly I would like to thank the Centre Local de Développement - Laurentides who kindly accepted me into the Soutien au Travail Autonome (STA) Program. In order to be accepted I had to produce a Business Plan which has been an indispensable tool over the years. This one year-long program provided me with the necessary funding to get my project off the ground and I shall always be grateful to this team of professionals who also shared their knowledge with me.
Of course, Mon Ami l'Ordi would never have been successful without you, the students. My most wonderful, kind, funny and clever clients. It has been the greatest joy of my life getting to meet you all. You have opened your homes to me, you have shared stories with me and you have let me into your hearts. Through it all, you've gotten better with your computers (and other gadgets) despite the trials and tribulations. Together, we have overcome! I cannot thank you enough for your loyalty. Thank you for calling upon my services once, twice, ten and even over 55 times for the more insatiably curious ones... Oh! and thank you for your referrals. What more can I say? THANK YOU over and over again.
Equally, I would like to give an honorable mention to the Computer vendors and technicians with whom I collaborated through the years, who have all contributed to the success of Mon Ami l'Ordi. A special thumbs up to NORITECH, also to Ordinatech, La Source and Le Centre Info-Gestion.
A final word: as you know, for the last four years I have been writing these articles. Thank you to "Main Street" and to "Ski Se Dit" for publishing me on a monthly basis and to you, dear readers, for your feedback. It inspires me to go on writing! So, I would like to send out a big, beautiful "Hello" to you all wherever you may be. As I understand it, not only do you read me in the local newspapers but also by means of my Web site ( www.monamilordi.com ). I receive messages from all four corners of Canada, the US, Mexico, England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Australia and New Zealand. I promise to continue enlightening you if you promise to keep sending in your questions and comments ( questions.monamilordi@gmail.com ).
So there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. I raise my glass to YOU and offer you ALL my most heartfelt THANKS. Here's to another five fantastic years ...
