BIG NEWS...
Friends, I have news, BIG news and it's a GIFT for YOU! Before I let the cat out of the bag, allow me to put the situation into perspective. I'm presuming you all know the song “The times they are a'changin” sung by Bob Dylan. This has never been as true as when talking about Technology. EVERY day there's new news. Every day the “times change”. A new release, a new gadget. EVERY industry is affected by inventions which permit major innovations. Although we can say that we have all been living in a world run by Technology for over a decade now, it has really only been in the last 2 to 5 years that some of us are finding it more and more difficult to “keep up” due to its exceedingly fast pace of development. This is where Mon Ami l'Ordi comes in...
As you all know (I hope) Mon Ami l'Ordi is my small business which I started on January 1st 2006. I provide personalized, home-based computer courses throughout the Laurentians (from Mont-Tremblant to Montreal and Saint-Donat to Lachute). For the past 7 years I have also been writing monthly articles in the Main Street (and local French newspapers) pertaining to Technology on all sorts of varied subjects. Even if I have had nothing but fantastic comments and questions from both my students and you, the readers, I have come to realize that this service needs to evolve to be more efficient for you. Yup, you got it, my FREE gift to you will be a new service using the Social Media's Facebook, Twitter and Google+ along with my personal Web site www.monamilordi.com.
So here's what I'm offering you. Every day, every week, every month I will be posting news. Technology innovations, new products, new software, new releases, new gadgets, new services, tips and tricks and updated information concerning Android, Microsoft and Macintosh for Computers, Tablets, Smart Phones and all kinds of other “stuff”. Also, on a local basis, I will mention specials from your beloved Technology stores so you don't miss a thing! Of course, I will not cease to provide home-based computer courses which are where I have always gotten the inspiration for my articles. The questions you ask (students and readers alike) allow me to understand your centers of interest and where there is a lack in understanding. This new service will continue in the same vein by providing you with a platform to ask me all the questions you want. After all, if you have them, someone else must too!
So what do you need to do to benefit from this offer? You need to become a Facebook OR(and) Twitter user and, if you need help to do this (more than the indications written below), you can contact me at (450) 530-8528.
A) FACEBOOK:
If you already have a Facebook account, you can search for Mon Ami l'Ordi in the search bar and click on the “Like” button. You can also write http://www.facebook.com/MonAmilOrdi in the address bar of your Browser, hit Enter and, once again, click “Like” once on my page. In either case, you will now receive any posts I make directly in your personal FB. If you do not have a Facebook account, you will need to open one. Go to www.facebook.com and, under the Sign Up section, fill in your info. If you want you can skip all the “find Friends” questions and the like and go directly to your home page. Then do as I mentioned at the beginning of this paragraph.
Now, maybe you would prefer the MEDIA rather than the SOCIAL in Social Media. If this is the case...
B) TWITTER:
If you already have a Twitter account, in the search bar top/right inscribe @MonAmilOrdi and click on the magnifying glass icon, click on my logo under “People” in left column and on the “Follow” button (right side of screen). You can also write www.twitter.com/MonAmilOrdi in the address bar of your Browser, hit Enter and, once again, click “Follow” once on my page. In either case, you will now receive any posts I make directly in your Twitter account. If you do not have a Twitter account, you will need to open one. Go to www.twitter.com and, under the “New on Twitter” section, fill in your info. Once again you can skip all the “find people to follow” questions, go to your homepage and do as described at the beginning of this paragraph.
Either which way, you can now add this (these) accounts to your Browser’s Favorites Menu or download the Facebook or(and) Twitter App.’s for your Tablet or Smartphone making for a quick and easy access.
